This site is not for everyone. And that's ok.

I have always been fascinated by the golden record on the Voyager missions. I love how thoughtful Carl Sagan and committee were when picking what to add to the record. I also love the idea of it being out there for beings to encounter and choose whether or not they care to engage more. That is kind of what this site is for me: just snapshots fired into space for anyone to enjoy or ignore as they like.

My entire life I have had a very busy mind. I think about a lot of things and I talk a lot about those things. Sometimes people enjoy it and sometimes they do not, but I know I feel like a balloon about to pop if I don't get the ideas out, so that is what this is: my pressure relief valve.

Ok, but what is this?

The short answer is: I don't know.

The times that I have really connected with other people through my thoughts and insights have usually resulted in some sort of "you should write a..." blog or book or whatever. I have really wanted to write in a way that is available to people that want it, but for reasons I cannot really explain, I have never been able to do it.

Every time I try to make my thoughts fit one of those forms, I lose the ability to communicate them. I end up with tons of half-finished projects and a lot of negative self-talk about failing to complete any of them. So I am done trying to follow any rules. I am just going to write.
